"The Swedes are really bringing the D" - Jim Hughson
I can't even express how happy I am that Canada won gold in men's hockey this morning. If there is one thing that is worth waking up at ungodly hours to see, it's hockey. We all hold a special place in our hearts for the Olympics and the World Juniors. Hockey is Canada's religion.
I have never been excited about anything at 5 in the morning, ever. When Toews scored that opening goal, not only was I excited, I was fucking pumped. The fact nobody had slept in nearly 24 hours was not evident. We all went nuts, Canada lit up. It literally gave me goosebumps seeing the feeds from province to province, everybody celebrating during the wee hours of the morning. How awesome is it that Canadians were flooding to bars at 5am to watch the game in the first place? I adore this country.
Shout out to my main man Steve Yzerman for once again selecting a team composed of some of the best hockey players in the world. Steve, you can do no wrong. You are also aging incredibly well.
Carey Price, outstanding. Both in goaltending and appearance.
Ryan Getzlaf, you've given balding men confidence on a global scale.
Johnathan Toews, representing the 'Peg. If you ever get in any kind of financial trouble, I think www.cash4gold.com can bail you out.
I could spend another hour or so giving shout outs to everybody who deserves one, but I have more important matters to get at quickly.
Have you ever heard of docking? If your answer is yes, I would love to know how you came to discover such an activity. If your answer is no, please click here. After learning that term last night, I came to the realization that I am at a point in my life where nothing can surprise me anymore. Every time I think I've reached the limit, that nothing could possibly be left to cause more loss of faith in humanity, something like docking pops up. No longer will I be surprised. Embrace it, embrace the dockers. Embrace it all.
Also I dare you to google what a blue waffle is. Not for people with weak stomachs. Ah, the things you learn when you're pulling all-nighters with friends.
